2000 Gibson SG Standard in ebony finish and comes with a gig bag. For the players out there looking for a work horse of a guitar but has that iconic Gibson sound/feel the SG Standard is without a doubt the guitar to consider. I have been playing my 97 SG Standard now as my main guitar for years so I will try to keep my review short. I love everything about this SG standard, the weight distribution, slimmer necks, and bound fret boards. The guitar just feels great when you play it and the sound is nothing but pure rock tone. I played this with my last band and the other guitar player played a custom ESP guitar. The singer was so happy when I joined because right off the bat the SG just brought a layer of a more classic rock and roll sound to the mix. I got one originally just cause all the guys who I loved in Bad Religion and Fugazi played one so you know they had to be on to something. The SG can get that super clean and articulate more 60s type vibe but don't be scared to play off the neck pup with some gain to get a really warm modern type sound.

The guitar does for sure have wear on it but plays and sound great. Headstock has some minor wear and chips and you can see it has a chip on the back, also there is a scratch on the back of the neck that someone tried to darken, frets/board look great with no major wear, front of the body has dings and picking scratches, bridge pick up has some dings, back of the neck has minor wear, back of the body has dings and scratches, I can make out a small chip on the bottom, and the sides have some dings. Overall I would give it a 6 out of 10. Electronics are great and with no issues. I would throw new strings on it and assume the neck will need a basic adjustment after shipping. Pictures are of the actual guitar but the video is not and just so you can get an idea of the sound.
